When I am buying stocks, the first place I look is the 52 Week Low list for the NYSE and Nasdaq. If any of my owned stocks are on that list, they’re getting a buy. The only reason why I wouldn’t is if it was too much of my portfolio and if my average cost wouldn’t be affected. Also, I wouldn’t buy if something changed with the company and I no longer wished to own it.
Once I’m done checking out the 52 Week Low list, I check out Low P/E and Low P/B ratios and check to see if any of my stocks are on that list as well.
I also have a list of “look Into” stocks that come across as interesting. It allows me time to investigate the company, look at financials, and then look at P/E as well. If the planets align, it gets a buy, and I start acquiring shares.
I typically purchase shares or fractional shares once a week and typically on Friday.
When do you buy and where do you look to get your buying ideas from?
